FightPiracy.org is a site that is geared towards finding alternatives to combat piracy and offering consumers more reliable, safe, consistent and easy options and informational resources for embracing legal alternatives and harnessing behavior on the internet or offline that would be beneficial to society as a whole.
Piracy is widespread in all aspects of society: in music, movies, TV, video, software, games and the internet. FightPiracy.org objective is to support policies and user behavior that endorses the stability and safety of an internet that is free of malware, hackers, phishing and other web-based attacks.
FightPiracy.org acknowledges that using the legal system to clamp down on copyright infringers has not been an effective strategy to slow down the fight against piracy. FightPiracy.org mission is to support new technologies and business models that enable legal and safe alternatives to illegal filesharing or bootleg copying.
Sound solutions are ones that ensure consumer safety on the web as well as provide users the best quality product at an affordable price. Ease of use and reliability of consuming legal products and services are key reasons to support a legal ecosystem. Rights holders, artists, inventors and websites put out content for consumption and they fight for their right to be compensated for their work if they choose to. Others offer content for free but embrace different business models. FightPiracy.org embraces the freemium business models as well and we urge you to support those efforts as well.
Fight the good fight and embrace what is best for society and ensuring creators of content are fairly compensated for their work,
Sincerely,
Constantine Roussos
